What are your rates?

Each project is completely custom, and therefore, the price for your project is as well. You can contact us and give us a brief description of your project that includes timing and we will happily get you an estimate.

 

Timelines

We need approximately 4-6 weeks from start to finish on a wedding invitation. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if there are a lot of design revisions, if we are creating intricate designs with many components or if we are making an invitation with complex finishing. We are a small team, but we try our absolute best to produce outstanding work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

 

Are invitations expensive?

Yes, invitations can be expensive. However, if you have a tight budget, invites can also be economical. We try our best to accommodate any budget, and we work with a variety of print vendors which allows us to find the best solutions for your unique needs.

 

Do we need Save the Dates?

No, save the dates are not necessary. However, they are a great way to announce your engagement and wedding. These also can help you give your guests an advance heads-up so they can start planning to attend your wedding right away. Also, save the dates are your opportunity to really express yourselves as a couple and have some fun, something that everyone is not able or does not want to do with their formal invitation.

 

Should I make an appointment?

Help! We don’t live in Chicago. Can we still work with you?

Of course! We love working with couples spread all across our beautiful country, and even abroad. Your love knows no bounds, and neither do our design services. With email, telephone or Skype sessions, communication is quick and easy.

 

How does shipping work?

Once the invitations are done, we will package and ship them to you using standard ground. To receive invitations faster, we are certainly happy to use next day rates at an added cost.

 

How long will my project take?

Every project is totally unique, and depending on its requirements, the time frame will vary. After meeting with you, we require 3-4 weeks for design and concepting. After you choose and approve your concept, any changes are made within a week. We kindly ask that you allow 3-4 weeks for print production and finishing.

 

Whoops! My wedding is around the corner. How can I get invitations faster?

No worries! The quickest way to create and distribute wedding invitations is electronically. It saves us time on getting printing quotes, so we can get started much quicker. Once you’ve selected your design and its finalized, we can send out your invitations right away!

 

So what process do we follow?

We can get started once we have received proof of a 50% deposit on the design fee. For our international clients, we ask a 50% deposit on the cost estimate’s total, just because it takes quite some time for PayPal payment to get into our bank accounts.

Next, we will begin designing concepts and should have the first draft ready in about five working days (sometimes a bit longer if there is a bit of a que, but sometimes, it can also be a bit quicker!). We send concepts via email so that you and your fiancée can discuss, look and relook before sending feedback. We include three sets of changes within the original quote. If you’re local, we usually try to set up an in-person meeting to present concepts, materials and to answer any questions you may have.

 

How do you personalize the invitations to specific guests?

Mostly, the invitation itself does not have the guest’s name on it (although there are a few options to get this done if you’d like to!) but rather the envelopes are personalized. We offer the service of printing straight onto the envelope or designing beautiful labels that match your invitation. We can personalize these with the guest’s name and address. Alternatively, we can get a calligrapher to hand address the envelopes.

 

What kind of printing do we offer?

Flat digital or laser printing allows for beautiful full color designs at a cost-effective rate. Offset or indio press printing increases the quality in color and if the piece is folded. For a more luxurious or glam look, we also offer letterpress printing (which includes debossing, embossing and foiling). We also can do stamps, die cutting, laser cutting, foil stamping, hand stitching (for booklets or fabric pockets) and anything else you can imagine. Just ask us!

 

Do you ever collaborate with other artists?

Yes, if the project calls for it. For example, if we need a photographer for design or a calligrapher for some custom type, we will collaborate with other experts. We partner with people all the time.

 

What about other little things for the wedding day?

Sure, we can do your save the dates and invitations. But we can also do all the other wedding day pieces including menus, seating charts, programs, signage – and even cookie bar decorations. The options are limitless. If you can imagine it we can create it.
