It’s true: The second you send out your save the dates, you begin setting the tone for your wedding. However, that’s no reason you can’t get creative and have a little fun with it! Sandy and Robert’s wedding took place at an art studio, and the bride was an artist herself. We captured this in the invitations by giving their guests a look into the couple’s sketchbook…literally.

Elements We Created:

• Invitations

Emulating real sketchbooks an artist would use, we created a unique sketchbook of love. A textured black cover, belly band, custom wedding logo and compelling words invited the guest to open up the invitation and journey into the couple’s sketchbook.

The interior of the sketchbook invitation featured watercolor stokes around the edges, framing the wedding announcement and aligning with the wedding colors. An artist through and through, Sandy is a sculptor, painter and watercolorist. The invitation really felt as if the guest was able to thumb through one of the couple's sketchbooks.

Water colors flowed through the invitation, carrying over to the map, with the brush strokes creating roads and rivers. A handwritten styled font provided an authentic hand-sketched feel.

The RSVP acted as a piece of water color art and was enclosed in the sketchbook with an envelope.

The result was a simply stunning invitation that was truly reflective of the couple’s passion and artistic nature.

Thank you, Sandy and Rob, for letting us help “paint” your wedding story.
